Dr. William Schlicher, or Dr. Will as his patients call him, is thrilled to be practicing in Pleasanton and serving families throughout the area. Having grown up in nearby Lafayette, Dr. Will and his wife feel right at home in Pleasanton with its small town charm, great sense of community, and wonderful schools.
Dr. Will bought his practice from longtime Pleasanton resident Dr. Ford Roberts after finishing his three year orthodontic residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Prior to obtaining his orthodontic specialty certificate and a Masters in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF, Dr. Will completed four years of dental school at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He graduated cum laude in part for his research on dental decay among international adoptees in the US. During college at UCLA, Dr. Will studied physiology and English literature.
When he is not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Will loves spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys a number of sports including cycling, swimming, running, and golf. Dr. Will recently joined the faculty in the department of orthodontics at UCSF as an Assistant Clinical Professor, teaching dental students about dental development and orthodontics. He has been fortunate to learn from many incredible teachers and mentors throughout his academic career and loves sharing his passion for orthodontics with the next generation of dentists and orthodontists.
